After the first movie adaptation of the tv series was a huge hit at the box office, it’s no surprise to find that Fox movie bosses have given the go-ahead to a sequel.

The sequel which unites Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, is set for release in May 2010.

No storyline or additional cast details have been released yet, but it’s hoped that the sequel will emulate the success of the first movie which took around $400 million at the box office.
